Hit by a Truck

My husband and I were driving to a local shopping center yesterday evening when suddenly my field of vision was taken up by a wall of metal slats. A slaughterhouse truck was passing us, and for a moment all I could see was metal and snouts poking out of the openings.

In a moment, it was gone (ever notice how livestock transport trucks always speed?)

The mood in our truck was one of quiet sadness.
