The Oscars’ Real Loser

As if watching the Oscars itself wasn’t horrific enough, the Center for Consumer Freedom shelled out something like $1.7 million last night to run an attack ad against the Humane Society of the United States. Excellent coverage at ThinkProgress.org by Ian Millhiser, and here’s HSUS chief Wayne Pacelle’s response to the ad.

America’s laws need to be changed so that there’s a public record revealing which corporations give money to industry front groups like CCF.
